We're pleased to share a selection of recent feedback we have received from EBHT customers. 

 

Our customer Catherine says: “I want to say a huge thank you to Isobel for a fantastic and professional response to a really difficult issue for a very vulnerable tenant. She challenged Housing Benefit over their decision and errors that had been made, offering reasonable solutions. As a result, they have agreed to a full backdate and continuation of entitlement, reassuring the tenant and improving their financial security. I was, as always, so impressed by Isobel’s intervention and the result she achieved—she is a true asset to Aster and her team.” 

 

Kirsty has been supporting one of our EBHT customers. Thanks to her efforts, the council has now awarded Housing Benefit for this claim at £137.13 per week. A backdated payment of £2,468.34 will be processed, clearing most of the arrears on the rent account. 

 

One of our EBHT customers faced challenges when their Attendance Allowance (AA) award ended, impacting their Pension Credit. With Melanie’s help, a new AA application was completed, leading to a higher lifetime AA award and reinstatement of the Severe Disability Premium (SDP). This increased their income by £190.45 per week—nearly £10,000 annually—while ensuring long-term financial stability and peace of mind. 

 

Isobel supported a customer who was a victim of domestic violence and had fallen into rent arrears. She liaised with the local council, explaining the customer’s vulnerabilities, which resulted in a £2,000 discretionary housing payment (DHP) to help clear the arrears.
